AO Arena is one of the UK's most iconic live entertainment venues, based in Manchester city centre and hosting some of the world's biggest artists and events. When the opportunity arose to submit a concept pitch for a website redesign, CreativePixels put together a full design concept showing how the arena's digital presence could better reflect the scale and energy of the venue and its events programme.

The Challenge
Designing for a venue at this scale comes with specific demands. The concept needed to address:
- A digital experience that matched the energy and prestige of a world-class entertainment venue, without feeling generic or template-driven.
- Clear pathways for different visitor types, event-goers checking listings, corporate hospitality enquiries, and press or media contacts.
- A design bold enough to stand out in a sector where most venue websites look and feel the same.
Our Approach
The concept was built around the idea that the venue itself should be the hero of every page, with the design stepping back to let the events and atmosphere lead.
- Designed a visually bold layout using full-width imagery and strong typographic hierarchy to communicate the scale of the venue immediately.
- Structured navigation and page architecture around the key audience needs, events, ticketing, hospitality, and venue information.
- Produced a complete UI/UX concept in Figma demonstrating how the redesign would look and function across desktop and mobile.
The Solution
The AO Arena concept demonstrates CreativePixels' ability to design for high-profile, complex briefs at scale.
