Energy Angels came to us with a site that no longer reflected where the business was. The core challenges were straightforward but impactful:
- The existing design felt dated and didn't communicate the professionalism or scale of a business serving over 25% of the UK social housing sector.
- The site wasn't clearly structured for its two distinct audiences, social landlords and tenants or residents, leaving visitors unsure of where to go.
- The brand had strong recognition in its sector but the website wasn't reinforcing that authority visually or through its content hierarchy.
Our Approach
The brief was a redesign rather than a rebuild, so the focus was on elevating what was already there. We kept the WordPress foundation and worked from the brand up, restructuring and redesigning to better serve both audiences and present Energy Angels as the established sector leader they are.
- Restructured the site navigation around the two clear user types, social landlords and tenants or residents, so visitors could find relevant information quickly.
- Refreshed the visual design to bring consistency, clarity, and a more professional feel throughout, in keeping with the credibility of a business with nearly 20 years in the sector.
- Improved the layout and content hierarchy on key pages to better communicate their services, technology platform, and track record.
- Ensured the redesign was clean and performant across all devices.
