Client Overview
Peekaboo was an early-stage UK tech startup building a browser extension product for Chrome and Safari. With the core technology in development and detailed wireframes already produced, the team needed a design partner to take their product from a functional concept to something polished, intuitive, and ready to put in front of users. CreativePixels came on board in 2022 to lead the UI/UX design of the browser extension and deliver their initial MVP landing page.

The Challenge
The client had a clear product vision and solid wireframes, but needed experienced UI/UX input to elevate the design before moving toward launch. Key challenges included:
- Wireframes that mapped the flow and functionality well but needed a significant uplift in visual design, layout, and usability.
- A browser extension environment with specific constraints around space, layout, and user flow that required careful, considered design decisions.
- An MVP landing page needed alongside the extension work to establish the brand online and begin building an audience ahead of launch.
Our Approach
We reviewed the existing wireframes in full before redesigning the extension across both steps of the user flow, working to improve the UI without disrupting the logic the client had already mapped out.
- Audited the wireframes and identified improvements to colour, layout, visual hierarchy, and overall flow across the extension.
- Redesigned the UI for both Chrome and Safari, ensuring the extension felt intuitive and well-structured within the constraints of the browser environment.
- Designed and built an MVP landing page to establish the product's online presence and support early user acquisition.
The Solution
Peekaboo went from a detailed but rough wireframe to a polished browser extension UI and a live landing page, giving the startup a credible, well-designed product to move forward with.
