Client Overview

UNICEF UK is part of UNICEF's global network, running high-profile events and campaigns to raise awareness and funds for children in danger worldwide. CreativePixels was brought in to design and produce the programme and printed collateral for their annual Halloween Ball, a flagship fundraising event attended by VIP guests, major donors, and celebrities. With £478,000 raised at the 2018 event, the stakes for getting the design right were significant.

The Challenge

UNICEF needed printed materials that would work as both premium event pieces and effective fundraising tools. Key challenges included:

The Challenge
  • Balancing the elegance and prestige of a high-profile event with the seriousness of UNICEF's mission, without either undermining the other.
  • Clearly presenting auction, raffle, and pledge opportunities to an audience of high-value donors in a way that made giving easy and intuitive.
  • Delivering a design framework flexible enough to be reused and updated for future events.
The Challenge

Our Approach

With content and information supplied by the UNICEF UK events team, the focus was on structure, visual quality, and making sure every piece served a clear purpose on the night.

  • Designed a premium event programme in Figma, balancing storytelling and mission messaging with elegant readability appropriate for a VIP audience.
  • Designed menus, pledge cards, and supporting collateral to guide guests through donation opportunities clearly and without friction.
  • Delivered professional print-ready files and reusable templates to support future events.
The Solution

The Solution

UNICEF UK had a complete suite of printed event materials that matched the prestige of the Halloween Ball while making it as easy as possible for guests to engage with auctions, raffles, and pledges. The 2018 event raised £478,000 for children in danger, with the UNICEF UK events team crediting the clarity of the programme and pledge card design as directly contributing to that total. For charities and non-profits running high-value fundraising events, this project shows what considered print and collateral design can contribute to the outcome.
